Zapf Creation - Setting free a childrens imagination.

Play & Learn

Learn how to play?!

Friends, sports, music lessons, homework - the list goes on and on. Children today have quite a full schedule.

Every single activity is important - but when do children have an opportunity to really play? When can they let their imagination run wild? When do they delve into their own play world? Playing, though sometimes overlooked, is especially important in a child's development.

What is often dismissed by parents as daydreaming or playing around is really a child learning. Children develop social skills by playing - skills they use their entire life. Whether it is in kindergarten, preschool or later in life - appropriate social conduct is a general requirement. At the same time, by playing they learn to understand situations that they are confronted with.

The next step forward from basic playing is role playing. This enables children to learn to communicate, to put themselves in other people's positions and to take responsibility. At the same time, it stimulates a child's imagination. On one hand, television heroes are particularly popular role-playing figures, but on the other hand children also enjoy playing with dolls. The more true to life the functions of the doll, the more realistic the role playing.

In addition to role playing, dolls also become the child's best friend. Girls confide certain secrets to their best friend. The things that the best friend say and do are adopted much more readily than instructions from adults.

Zapf Creation champions the significance of BABY born® as a best friend in order to give parents and children a better understanding of important educational subjects. One example would be the subject of water safety. With BABY born® children learn, in the form of a story, about the rules of swimming and much more on the subject of water safety.
